BIG and Green Pen Circles

Students evaluate their work using the Green Pen Circles worksheet. They apply the improvements they have identified before reflecting back on the progress they have made.

BIG assessment is as much about providing quality reflection as it is about acting upon the feedback given.

As such the improvements section of BIG Assessment can be incorporated with green pen activities to provide this useful guidance. Ask students to try using circles to evaluate their work and then ask them to act upon this feedback before checking off what they have done. They can even go a step further through stating the impact of this.
