Basics- Peer Assessment

Students exchange each others work and review the learning that has taken place. They annotate the works as directed to reflect the strengths and areas for further development.

A useful activity during a lesson is to have is a period of peer reflection so that they can see how each other are progressing.

Launch Resource

Along with Standout Teaching’s Green Pen strategy, you may wish to complete your own reflection activity. This still needs to have a structure and the peer assessment resource outlines the key aims of reflection for you to build your activity around. Also included are a set off timers so that you can control how long is spent on the task.
Lesson Plan Creator note:
If you are using this as part of the Standout Teaching lesson plan you may wish to identify how long you are assigning to the task. It is also worth commenting on the focus of the reflection.
