Pyramids GAP

Students use the worksheet to breakdown a piece of text (GAP applied to signpost difficulty) into subheadings. Using this they then analyse these sub headings summarising the main points.

The aim of this exercise is for pupils to breakdown and analyse a piece of text.
Using the supplied worksheet, pupils will work through each of the 4 stages-
o Read the text
o Write the text title
o Break the text down into sub headings and write them down
o Write the meaning for each sub heading.
Pupils can then compare each other’s findings to peer assess.
The supplied worksheet can be photocopied to A3 size for more detailed analysis.
