Students are to watch a short activity/look at a piece of work and record any mistakes that they see. The work is signposted with GAP. In pairs they then compare observations and feedback to the class.

Engage your pupils observation skills through challenging them to spot the mistakes in an activity or piece of work.

The aim of this activity is for pupils to either watch a demonstration/activity or look at piece of work and identify the deliberate errors. This will test their knowledge of the topic or skills being taught. This activity can be carried out in pairs as follows:
• Ensure the pupils have a pen & paper to record their findings.
• Show/issue the demonstration/work.
• Pupils to discuss and record their findings in pairs.
• Ask groups to feedback their findings to the class.
You can extend the deliberation by asking groups to carry out comparisons of their answers.
