Another Way GAP

Students are issued with a piece of text which is differentiated and signposted with GAP. They are then given the option to convert it into a mind map, storyboard, bullet point list or flow chart.

Challenge pupils to convert information related to the lesson into other formats to improve their understanding.

The aim of this exercise is for pupils to improve their understanding of a piece of text by presenting it in another format.
Pupils will require a piece of text which they can transfer into either:
Mind map
Story board
Bullet point list
Flow chart
Pupils will need to be supplied with an extract of text or related material which they can annotate on.
On the final slide you will need to direct pupils as to how you would like them to present the text.
Be aware that this is an activity designed to focus on the pupils and not teacher talk. Be concise in your explanation.
