The sequence to the activity could be as follows:
Give your students a piece of text, you may wish to use SUB in relation to this text prior to undertaking this formula activity. If you do wish to SUB the text then it is recommended that you take a photocopy so the students can annotate it.
Point: Students make the point to their argument.
Quote: They then include a quote from the text to support their argument
Explore: Students then explore how the point they have made links to the quote and their argument.
