Set your homework

Students are to write their own homework based on the learning from the lesson. They then compare with a partner and decide which is best. They then repeat in groups and finally as a class to set the perfect homework.

Assess your pupils understanding of the lesson and extend this through them setting their own homework task.

This task will test pupils understanding of the lesson content and allow them to use higher order thinking skills.
Pupils are to begin working individually by thinking of and writing down a homework task.
Pupils then join into pairs and swap homework tasks. They then decide on which is best.
The next stage is to form small groups and repeat the exercise to find the best homework task.
Finally the best tasks are handed in and the class votes on the one they will undertake.
