Sky High Guess the Focus

Students read the Sky High Question and underline the key points. They then predict what they think the lesson will be about and feedback to the class.

For this exercise your students will be challenged to consider what the lesson will be about using just the sky high question as a starting point.

Launch Resource

The first exercise is to underline or highlight the keywords.
They are then to use the keywords as prompts to consider what the lesson content will be. This could be done as bullet points, explanations or additional questions. Students also could attempt to justify why they think this.
The final exercise is to attempt to answer the question. This could then be revisited at a later point in the lesson to see if they were correct.
This exercise could be carried out as individuals or as pairs.
