Which one’s right?

Students are given 2 statements and in pairs are to read them out; they then decide which is correct. They will then be required to feedback to the class and justify their answers.

With pupils working in pairs get them thinking about the lesson by giving them true and false statements to analyse.

The aim of this exercise is to give pupils 2 statements, one true, one false and they have to work together to decide which is which.
Prepare 2 pieces of text related to the lesson, one correct one false.
Give to pupils in pairs. Pupils have 2 minutes to work out the answer. There is a 2 minute timer on the resource.
Pupils must also use the 2 minutes to put together an argument for their decision.
After the 2 minutes ask pairs to feedback their answers and justify them.
