BIG Circles Pt3

This is part 3, the final stage of this process. Students have already identified areas to improve and then applied the findings to their work. The final stage is to check against the targets they have set and ensure they have completed them all.

BIG assessment is as much about providing quality reflection as it is about acting upon the feedback given.

As such the improvements section of BIG Assessment can be incorporated with green pen activities to provide this useful guidance. Ask students to try using circles to evaluate their work and then ask them to act upon this feedback before checking off what they have done. They can even go a step further through stating the impact of this.

The sequence is as follows-

1. Undertake a piece of work
2. Students reflect upon the piece of work using their Green Pen Circles worksheet
3. Students update the piece of work using their feedback
4. Students reflect upon the improvements that they have made
