Sky High Confidence

Students read the Sky High Question and underline the keywords. Students then complete a confidence line to show their level of confidence in answering the question.

For this exercise your students will be as to judge their confidence at answering the sky high question.

Launch Resource

The first exercise is to underline or highlight the keywords.
The next task is to plot on the confidence line their current position. They are then to explain this and could use the keywords from the sky high question to help justify their reasons.
The final exercise is to attempt to answer the question. This could then be revisited at a later point in the lesson to see if they were correct.
This exercise is ideally carried out as individuals.
